Carla Drake, Salesperson
Carla is a lifelong resident of Cape May. Her early years were spent growing up in Cape May Point with her mom, dad, and two sisters. Carla’s parents built a house on Sunset Blvd where Carla lived during her school years. She attended Star of the Sea grade school and then went on to graduate from Wildwood Catholic High School in 1998. Growing up in the Cape May area has given Carla an appreciation for all the amazing activities available within the county. When not working Carla enjoys going to the water park and spending time with family. Carla and her partner Mark, who is a local contractor, have a 6-year-old daughter named Abby. Carla’s 19-year-old daughter Jennifer is a sophomore at Rider University where she is majoring in Psychology.
Carla has always had a strong work ethic which is evidenced by her 20-year position as a bartender at a local business. This job gave Carla valuable experience in the hospitality business and taught her how to work in a professional manner with a wide variety of customers. Carla also has a strong background in the addiction and recovery field. Currently she works as a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist with Cape Regional Recovery Center. Carla is a member of the CARES team (Cape Addiction Recovery Services) at Cape Regional Hospital, volunteers on the Overdose Response Team with the Lower Township Police Department and goes on weekly outreach calls with the organization Hope One.
